
About Us – Brand Legacy
The B&P Process brand heritage is rich with innovations in the design and manufacture of large-scale, rugged industrial machinery.
- 1886-1914: Werner& Pfleiderer – Our roots as the North American head office and manufacturing works for W&P universal batch mixers and other specialized equipment.
- 1914-1987: Baker Perkins – Sold to citizens of the U.S.A. after WWI, operated by Baker Perkins as the primary North American Engineering and Manufacturing site for food and confectionary equipment. Saginaw engineers also worked to develop innovative solutions for the chemical processing industry.
- 1987-1995: APV Chemical Machinery– APV merger with Baker Perkins resulted in the down-sizing of Saginaw. Food and confectionary were moved to alternate sites while Saginaw absorbed the associated costs. Focus remained on chemical processing machinery at Saginaw. APV, deciding to abandon the chemical processing marketplace, sold the division to private ownership.
- 1995-Present: - ”Private ownership purchased chemical machinery division from APV and continued an aggressive pursuit toward development of innovative and reliable solutions to offer into the chemical processing marketplace. Today, a leader in many diversified areas of chemical machinery manufacture.
